Project #1 of 2010---complete!

My first project of 2010 is completed! I actually started it in the last week of 2009, but it's not a UFO anymore! It's a birthday gift for my friend Marcia. She is from Panama and therefore she is of a tropical nature...so I thought it appropriate to bless her with a snuggly scarf!I CROCEHETED it using only one skein of Lion Brand Homespun yarn in the color family: Herb Garden. it measures approximately 60 inches in length, and about 10-1/2 inches wide. I purposely made it wider to accentuate the snuggliness of the scarf...almost makes me want to keep it!!!
Here I am modeling the scarf and as I type, I still have it on...it really is warm and cozy!

I'm also glad you liked all your presents. You were fun to shop for!

Happy New Year!

Beautiful Christie! Is it knit or crochet? I love the Homespun yarns!

Thanks for pointing that out Michelle...I crocheted it...I still have not mastered knitting even though I have had another tutoring session since the one Robin gave me at the 2007 BPF Retreat.

Oooh, so pretty ( and I agree with Ange, both you and the scarf)! So, did you actually give it to your friend? I'd want to keep it, too! : )

What an excellent scarf. Lots very snuggly :)....

I wish I could knit so maybe it's something I should take up.

Thanks,

Forest.
